Publication "Adaptation to climate change in cities: using nature-based solution".

The publication "Adaptation to climate change in cities: using nature-based solution" was prepared within UrbanAdapt project. The publication aims to present an overview of inspiring examples of ecosystem-based (nature-based) adaptation measures that were already implemented in the pilot cities of the project UrbanAdapt - Pilsen, Prague, Brno and other Czech cities. The list is accompanied by examples of nature-based solutions in the Icelandic, Austrian and Dutch cities.

The purpose of this publication is to illustrate that nature in the city can not only assist in reducing risks and mitigating adverse impacts of climate change, but the nature-based solutions can also provide multiple benefits  in terms of ecosystem services and improvements in the quality of life of the local residents.
