UJEP University dates back to 1991, and is currently known as the umbrella term for 8 faculties. The University offers a wide variety of study programmes and specialisations (55 programmes and 173 specialisations) focusing on the most varied areas of human activities. With about 900 employees and 10 000 students the University is scientific, pedagogic, and cultural & educational centre of the Ústí nad Labem region.
Within the UrbanAdapt project the UJEP University is responsible for institutional analysis of the adaptation processes, economic analysis of supposed adaptive measures and analysis of financial flows. The team of UJEP University cooperates also on other work packages, such as development of adaptation measures and strategies, application of participatory approaches to cooperation with stakeholders, evaluation of adaptive capacity of selected cities.
